How do you know when someone's coming on to you?
just wonderng whether this sounds like a come on to any lads out there? on friday night i went to a party. there was a guy there who i've known for a while.. but we're not friends..just know each other through friends. we all had a bit to drink and i was flirting a bit... taking the p**s and being a bit cheeky to him. later on that night he collared me in the hall and said, 'i know your type...you're the kind of girl that could get a guy into a lot of trouble.' i asked him what he meant but he just shook his head, walked off and smiled.
neither of us are with anyone....but for reasons too long too long to go into, it would upset people (namely my mates) if anything ever did happen between us. at the time i didn't really think anythin of it... but now i'm wondering if it was a come on. can't discuss it with any of my friends... so just wondered what other guys thought.... thank
p.s he is not the first guy to say this sorta thing to me... what am i? some kinda devil woman?

your cyber freindship/flirtation is obviously of upmost importance to you and i'm glad that you were able to continue conducting it as part of my thread. maybe you could swap msn addresses and conduct this conversation without filling up my e-mail box with 'you have an answer'.
With all due respect, Grace.
I used to say things to girls at times like 'you look good tonight ' or whatever and they would say 'what do you mean by that' then I would smile and wonder off to ,say, the other end of the bar. He's waiting for you to come to him...but not in a bad way. Give it some time and he may come back to you wanting some more....good luck :-)
i actually think it is a rude, arrogant and obnoxious thing to say.
he's trying to be all enigmatic but what he's actually saying is he's got you sussed and if he does go any where near you it'll be because you have tricked him into it, thereby absolving himself of all come backs, if and when all these objectionable mates of yours find out.
he is trying to be a know it all and thinks you are playing games with him so is trying to back himself up, just in case he makes a fool of himself by trying it on with you, by making you out to be a player who is 'up to no good' and that he knew it all along, and was only playing along.
he is also saying that for the reasons he states, he would not be serious about you but just wants a no strings bit of fun.
he is trying to play psychological tricks
i may be wrong but thats how it reads to me
