ok i just want a bit of advice please, i havent realy posted on here much recently, since a certain part of the site closed, but i still check in here most days.

right heres my problem, im living in a stuent flat at the minute, and theres this guy in the flat who im friends with, but i realy like him, but im not sure if he likes me in that way at all. The thing is im realy bad at telling people i like them, usually my mate ends up telling them, and also if he doesnt like me then i still have to live with him for another month. There's another problem in the equation, i have another year left at uni and im staying where im at uni all summer, he is going to be in the city untill september then he moves back to his home town. So basically as my friend puts it i should tell him now as if he does like me then i will regret it as he's not here much longer. But how do i find out if he likes me!

I would be grate full of any advice, thanks.

How close are you with this guy? I would ask him to go for a drink and maybe flirt abit. If you get the impression that he is flirting back and enjoying your company then I would tell him. At the end of the day... whats the worst that could happen? I'd rather live with the fact that he'd rather that we were just friends than the regretting it for a long time that I never took the chance to find out.
ask him and quit faffing around, blokes cant be bothered with the innuendos and subtle hints bull, harks back to cavemen days when they threw the bird over their shoulder and back to the cave, ask him out for a drink if he says no then no big deal

Make him breakfast in bed and take it into him stark b0llock naked.....dont say nothing to him...just give him a wink....yes ....wink...and leave it at that...the ball`s in his court now

Ruby...we go out for drinks and stuff, usualy with other ppl, but if i asked if he wanted to go to the pup or something im sure he would just think as mates, and im soo not good with the flirting thing, i would just make a tit of my self.

bob... everyone keeps taying to me men just dont get hints and that i should just tell him

Elvis he leaved for work at 6.30 in the mornings and also theres 3 other people living in the flat.

Thans to you all for the replys.
Hi, this is one of those things that if you never told him how you felt, you'd always wonder and drive yourself craxy thinking "if only..". At this stage, you have nothing to loose. Just tell him you like him and see how he reacts. If he doesn't feel the same way, at least you'll always no you tried, and if he does feel the same way, then you'll be delighted you took a chance. Live life without regrets.

i would be gratefull if anyone else has any sugestions/veiws/ideas.
Why not go back to the original plan and ask a mate to tell him? It may seem a bit playground, but all my friends and I seem to have got together that way! And it worked for Ross and Rachel! He may like you too, but until someone plants the idea in his head of liking you LIKE THAT, he may not flatter himself.Get a mate to tell him you like him as more than friends, and see how he reacts. If he is not interested, at least you will know, and move on. And because you technically don't know that your mate had told him, you can continue being friends.
Hi KT84 - I think you might be putting yourself under a bit too much pressure here. Why don't you just try and fix a time to go to the pub, go for a walk, meal, whatever, when there is noone else going and just be yourself and act naturally. He might then realise how great you are and he does like you and take the initiative himself, if he doesn't then I think you just have to tell him that you like him, if he doesn't feel the same then at least you don't have to see him for that much longer. If he does then you might be missing out on a great thing. Be brave and go for it, don't let a potential opportunity pass you by. Release the Goddess!!! - Love and light - Amara xx
