Hey, I'm a bit nervous about getting a tattoo, I just wondered if anyone can recommend a tattooist in Manchester? and if numbing cream/spray is avaliable there? also I'm going on holiday in 6 weeks, should i wait until after?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.You can use Xylocaine or Emla for numbing - but don't. It's of limited effectiveness! Tattooing isn't THAT sore that you'd need it anyway. Take some ibuprofen before you go, this will take the edge off and stop it swelling afterwards.
Dunno about anyone reputable in Manchester though. Usually tattooing by appointment and if a studio does mainly custom work, those are good indicators that they're up to scratch.

A way to tell how much it'll hurt is to dig your finger nail into the area you are having it done and drag it along...thats how much it hurts...not really at all..mine hurt more just after it was done than during being done and even then it only felt the same as a fresh graze would. So don't worry : )
