why is it that when you catch a cold sometimes your nose runs for no reason then when you go and blow it there is nothing there...how can it run like mad then nothing to blow...cos thats what happening to me with this blo*dy cold of mine

when you get a cold, the bug causig the infection causes an inflammatory response as your body tries to fight it off! During this response, chemical mediators are released whih cause dilatation of the vessels in your nose. This makes it feel runny and like it needs to be blown....... have i explained that ok??!!
