from a young muslims point of view

I have just read nobjobs question and am answering from a young teenager girls view. First of all in islam we are not told to kill anyone even the people that have another religion or those that do not believ in god instead we are told to help them and guide them along, People are allowed there own beliefs and if they do not want to believe in islam- fine its ok that does not mean kill them.

we are told from our holy book that we are to leave the non believers with there own religion or watever

suicide is not allowed in our religion so ppl blowing them self up is not allowed, i personally believe that suicde bombing is wrong. Its so easy to just get along with ppl regardless of there religion, there all people and all the same no matter wat colour race disability they are and for the muslims out there they should understand as its in the holy book, im not saying who is right and who is wrong because this is wat everyone out there is doing and it seems like to me that ppl just want other ppl to blaim but them selfs , its everyones fault here. the muslims the christians the jews who just wants to think they are in th right. i have friends of all race and religion and some that are athiest and i get along with them great, i just dont understand why ppl cant do that. you and your friends have different ways of living and different living habits that are sometimes annoying and sometimes nice but at the end of the day you still class them as friends and need them around you so why when they have a different religion you class them as enemies. dont no if i make any sense here but im just trying to get my view across and im not blaiming anyone or any certain religion.

Hello alawibaz, you sound a very sensible person,wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we could all respect each others beliefs,and religions.

unfortunately it isn't as easy as that for some people as you will know there are good and bad people in every part of the world,but I do believe there are more nice people than idiots who want to go round killling anybody that is different,wether it be colour or religion,maybe one day things will improve,I hope so,if we have more level headed young people like you there is hope.

u refer to teenage girls and if you think about what you are saying, then they have not yet seen enough of the world to fully understand religions and people. i personally do not believe in god and never have, my husband is catholic and defied his mother by marrying a protestant and even married me in a registry office, she will not talk to him now, and it is her loss as i am a nice person and do not put down other peoples religions or race or anything else. I agree with what you say and suggest that you ignore the idiots.

Lovely post alawibaz. I'm Catholic, my wife is Jewish and our best friends are Muslim and it works just fine because we all love and respect each other.

My poor brother was with a protestant girl and they had a baby and before she was 12 months old they had split up because they allowed the families to argue them apart. Tragic the way people can't see further than their own narrow hatred.

Keep spreading the word that Islam is a peaceful faith practised properly as Mulims are unfortuneately getting a very negative press at the moment, the most of which don't deserve it at all.

I can't disagree with your statement,I applaud it, but I have a problem with the Koran....it seems there are many ways to interpret it, so full of contradictions.I've had the (mis)fortune of stumbling across a publication called "Islam, the verses of hate", and it made uncomfortable reading. It takes various quotes from the Koran (Qur'an?) which at face value made pretty grim reading for us "infidels". I just hope that one day the likes of alawibaz will be the overwhelming majority of their chosen religion, and we might all get along together whatever your religion. Frankly, I doubt it.

unfortunatley johniboymeladio all us atheists is christians when the war comes so get swotting on your bible cos it helps to beleive in god if your shot cos you can whisper to the padre hopefully before you pop your clogs and he can reassure you that god who commanded you not to kill is a forgiving god as long as you only killed allahs boys and do you know why cos allah is god and god is allah and all the people who have destroyed life as we know it have done it for the same god so its all ok we just couldnt agree on a name
