I don't understand men sometimes

My brother was sorting out his flat yesterday spots a mouse it freaked him out and he couldn't sleep in his bedroom ,

my stepdad is a 6foot 4 geordie toughie but you put a spider by him he goes to jelly . They both act macho but faced with these they go all daft,

Any reason why ? Do you know others like this ?

My son is freaked out by Bumble Bees, seriously aggravated by them. i hate killing them because they are so cuddly looking

men are just human beings no matter how big they are - they get phobias just like other people.
phobias are irrational fears and so make no rational sense.

they probably had bad experiences as children with these creatures

Every woman is quite a bit bigger than any spider or mouse.
Why is it acceptable for them to freak out and not for men?

My husband admits not being too fond of spiders, however he does not freak out.
He even stopped killing them and puts them outside alive, after I've asked him to!
Usually I put them out, though!

Mr Spudqueen is terrified of mice. I once heard him scream (just like a girls scream!) on the landing. I rushed to the bottom of the stairs just in time to see a baby mouse kamikazee through the bannisters and Mr Spudqueen dancing around the landing in a panic!
