black to blonde

i need to know can girls with black hair,dye there hair blonde with out bleaching it? and can we just pick some bottled dye and do it our self?

You have to bleach it.

If you try to do it yourself, it will end up like a fuzzy orange cotton wool mess.

Go to a hairdresser's.

Never ever ever try this one at home!! Professional hairdresser only!! (I speak from experience (went a horrible ginger) and my natural colour is (was?) dark blonde.) If your natural hair colour is black, are you sure your skin colouring will look right with blond hair?

u would have to pre lighten it first before toning it down to a more subtle blonde. but it's very tricky to do yourself. i agree with the others and go to the hairdressers at least you know you will (hopefully) get the result u want xXx

Take note of the other answers!!! Black is incredibly difficult to remove and to want to go blond after it is a pretty tall order. It will take some bleaching and may only lift to a dirty yellow.Because black is obviously the darkest colour, no amount of lighter colours are going to lift it . Bleach is your only answer. Good luck to your hair though, its not going to be in very good condition afterwards. If i were you, i'd just grow it out. Is it long or short?

i have very dark brown hair and gradually went blonde i looked awful a bit like pauline fowler and im not even old, try a blonde wig on if you get yours hands on one because blonde may not suit you x
