Ginger Hair!

I have dark hair and skin that tans well, my boyfriend is also dark with olive skin. His great great grandfather was ginger, whats the chances of us having a ginger baby?

I have dark hair,and my ex had dark brown hair,so to say I was shocked when my first son was born with brilliant red hair is an understatement!! But apparently red hair can skip several generations and it turned out that my ex's grandfather had very ginger hair.

My sons hair faded over the years and he is now a strawberry blonde.But ginger hair Is great!! Are you worried about this?

Yeah i am, i know its really shallow but i don,t want my child to be ginger!! Sorry!! I have an 8 year old son but he has a different dad who was dark, my son is also dark, i suppose its just a waiting game!!

What a strange thing to be concerned about. Any baby that you give birth to will be loved surely, regardless of what colour his / her hair might be?

i think you are been a bit harsh a child is so precious that it doesnt matter what they look like or what colour hair or skin they have you will love the child regardless, i no this may seem a bit out of context but (god forbid) that your child was born disabled would you not like the child because of its disabilities. so the moral of the story is im sure colour,size,disabilites are not important when you give birth to the most precious thing in your life. (and im not even a mother)

I agree with Sam. You should be concerned that your baby has all the right bits, and is born healthy, not the colour of its hair!! There are some absolutely gorgeous red-haired people out there- surely it is better to be different and amazing?!

My 9 year old niece has dark ginger hair and she is gorgeous. In fact she is so striking that my sister has been approached several times about modelling and TV appearances.

Ginger hair is the best! I have auburn hair which shines gold in the sun! i have never seen anyone with hair colour like mine! and i'm proud of it!! ;oP

i made a couple of perfectly well balanced observations about modern attitudes to the ginger problem in society today and my answers were banned by red head ed. can you beleive ginger opinions are becoming almost racial abuse. the baldies will be next

all i said was most people laugh when they see a ginger baby the insult is not aimed at the baby but the shallow humour of most people

Tell you what ~ if you do have a baby with ginger hair put them up for adoption. There are plenty of people wanting to adopt because they can't have their own babies...the hair colour wouldn't be a problem for them!

My first husband had ginger hair (it's grey now) and neither of our children are ginger. His parents have dark hair. My 2nd husband has brown hair (mine is blonde) and our two children have titian highlights in their hair ;o)

I have auburn hair which goes really ginger in the summer. My fifth daughter is the only one of my children who has ginger hair despite the fact that their paternal grandmother has green hair and naturally red lowlights.

My daughter is just gorgeous and everyone comments on how beautiful her hair is that her sisters are all jealous of her.

i used to live in Hong Kong as a child and my brother who is also ginger used to be given so many free gifts in shops etc becuase to the chinese Ginger hair is Lucky.

I think you're lucky if you are red headed too.
