Hello tradey,
My remedy is not quite pill-free, but I find the relief is so complete that it is worth the little bit of medication.
I pick five bay leaves from the tree in my garden and put them in a huge mug, then I crush five or six juniper berries in my pestle & mortar and put them in one of those little tea strainer thingys and put that in the mug - then I pour boiling water over the whole lot.
While that is steeping I take two paracetamol, then I drink the tea when it is cool enough.
I've suffered for thirty years with menstrual cramp and I was amazed at how effective this remedy is for me - as soon as I take the first sip of tea I feel completely normal again. It may work without the paracetamol, but I haven't tried that, I'm always in too much need of relief to experiment!.
