About a week. It gives them enough time to find a suitable job and also makes you look keen but not desperate! :o)

ok well as i am off work this week i should prob get on with other things and try not to think about it...i think i will call them on friday if i have heard nothing from them before then...as then at least then i can get out of doing extra hours next week in my current job.
Good Luck! :o)
steve208, i've been registered with many job agencies and i've never had one that hasn't called me back withing a day of sending my cv. Most agencies will want to interview you personally, go over your cv and do some simple tests before they consider you for positions, so I would call them and find out whether they do actually have your cv on record and whether they need to see you. Otherwise you could get a call in a week and then they say they need to see you and it could be weeks before they even put you forward for jobs! Good Luck in your job hunting by the way!!

hey thanks for the good luck but im not v hopeful at the mo.

Earlier i did phone the agencey i regestered with and they said they would phone me within the next few days.

So i thought i would be more proactive and dressed up smart and went into town. I went into a different agencey and said i was looking for temporary work. The girl at the desk asked for a CV which i gave her then said right well you seem to have mostly worked in retail not sure we could find you anything in admin.

True i have mainly worked in reatil then i pointed out to her that i have around 6 to 7 a months admin experience including a customer service role so just wanted something to get started.

Oh well they clearly think i dont have what they want...i will have to see about applying for admin jobs myself and do some voluntary work to get more office experience.
