Contact lenses and gyms

Quite specific question - do gyms tend to treat the water in their showers with chlorine or something? They drive my eyes mad with lenses in, whereas they're fine in normal showers.

you shouldnt get your lenses wet anyway, there is a germ in water that can cause blindess if you get infected and the infection is caused by people keeping their lenses in water or getting water in their eyes whilst showering, i wear continuous wear lenses (sleep in ones) but even i was advised to ALWAYS take mine out before showering

boobesque is quite right "c00ky83"(that was quite a task in itself lol) the answer was staring you in the eyes,dont go losing them down the plughole.they cost money�����������������

Yeah right, like I'm gonna mess around with contact lenses at the gym! I'll try harder to keep my eyes shut.
