Treatments and products (including anti-aging creams) promising to reduce, remove or prevent age-related wrinkles are big business in many industrialised countries. However, most of these products and treatments have not been proven to give lasting or major positive effects
I've been having this problem on the actual palms of my hands for about a month (I'm 22 so it's not old age!!). They aren't wrinkled all the time, just when i get in the shower/wash my hands/wash up etc. My fingers go so wrinkly and I get blisters on the palms of my hands (like white dead skin). It doesn't go down for about 2 hours after getting them wet and can be quite uncomfortable. I went to the docs and he said it's becuase I have sweaty hands (yuk i know) and becuase of the warmer weather my hands are sweating more and therefore my hands are wet all the time (not dripping i might add, just damp!!). He advised me to use Aqueous cream when washing my hands or in the shower and to limit the amount of time my hands are in water to an absolute minimum. I've been doing that for about a week and it's nearly all gone now!!
When you say they are wrinkly, is it like old peoples hands, or is it more like how your hands would go if you spend an hour in the bath (i.e VERY wrinkly and kind of white). Do you hands sweat a lot during the day, or do you spend all day with your hands in water i.e washing up, cleaning etc? If so, I'd get yourself some Aqueous cream from the chemist and give that a go!!
