I am on rates, they cant put a meter in as the property is a flat. However i get a discount as i am a single occupier and have no washing machine or dishwasher on premises. I pay �200 a year i think

Ours is �400 in Kent, twice what we were paying in Richmond Surrey!!! why? as i discovered here.... 1 company puts the water into the property and another takes it out. We had a water meter in Richmond and we were in a flat, and only 1 company, (Thames Water) supplied it and took it away.

We requested a water meter here, only to be told it wasnt possible.... eh? shared water supply apparently.... err, we're detached..... so work that one out if you will lol.....

i pay �61 a year down here in gosport to portsmouth water company, and i,m not sure about the sewerage rates to southern water, but i think its about 100 pounds a year

�381 for water & waste water for a 4 bedroom house, also in Bucks. (Not on a meter).
And stuck with a hosepipe ban as well !

its only �89 as i live in very small terraced cottage, we can't be metered as the supply is shared and the rateable value was figured out back in the dark ages when the property was worth about 10p. looking at what the rest of you are paying looks like i'm pretty lucky!
