a question about anasthetics

i just had an oral surgery to take my wisdom teeth out and during the process i was put to sleep but i woke up near the end. i was wondering if the surgeons woke me up somehow or i woke up myself? how does this happen?

I don't know why that happens but some thing just like that happend to me to
I even remember trying to talk and tell the people that were working on me that I was awake but now words came out
I hope you get an anser for this becaus I think it mite happen more then doctors want to admit

Ugh! Maybe the dosage of anesthetics was not calculated quite right. Daleroy is right; you should tell your oral surgeon so it can be noted in your files - god forbid you should need more dental surgery and they don't know.

You didn't happen to eat any veggies from the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant) in the days before surgery, did you? They can contain minute amounts of a substance called SGA, which can inhibit the metabolism of some anesthetics and muscle relaxants. My mom and I have both had surgery in the past 5 years; each time our doctors advised us to avoid those foods for at least 48 hours before surgery.

I had the frightening experience at the dental hospital,i couldnt open my eyes but i felt MEGA pain and remember kicking my feet like crazy,i also heard someone say,he's coming round.
i was well scared!!!!!

Are use sure you underwent a General Anaesthetic or did you have intra-venous sedation?

they injected a shot and it was through an iv
