Probably seem really cheesy thing to do,but why not just buy a single Rose from a Florist and give it to her ? it used to work,and I would think girls now would think it a nice thing to do,you don't even need to speak either.

All girls like a genuine guy with a good sense of humour. Just try being friendly to her and see if you can make her laugh about something you have in common. Just start with a bit of eye contact and a nice warm smile and see the reaction you get back. Good Luck!!

If you are shy, and would feel crushed if this girl turned you down, why not get into conversation and bring the chat around to films. Say that 'this film' is showing, and you were thinking of going, would she like to come along? If she says no, you can assume she isn;t interested, and you have your dignity intact.

How about saying to her, "If I could summon up the courage to ask you out for a drink/ to the cinema, etc. could you summon up the courage to come?

That tells her you're nervous about asking and gives her the opportunity to either say "Yes," or the hint to turn you down gently.

Just tell you like her, straight out. That's how you'd win me anyway. Plus, what's the worst that could happen? You get turned down, slightly embarrassed, that's it.

Don't worry, I've been in this position twice. The first time I got turned down, and I was embarrassed at first but everything was fine after, but I didn't talk to him much.
Then the next person, ok, also turned me down. But we became like best mates, and we get along fantastically, he had bearly noticed me before I said anything.
