look for a new job then, i know its easy said but maybe you'd be happier with a change but could end up with a lower wage, miss the friends you've made ect. life is what you make it and i wish i could go back 30 years and have another crack at the whip, things would be different for me. you must follow your heart and head and go for it, good luck.
thats pretty much how 99% of the population feel. the other 1% work in the porn industry
ROFL @ Booldawg!!

Yes, I do know how you feel rom as I have been feeling that way for ages. I know I could change jobs but to do something different will mean a lesser salary. It's a tricky choice, but money can't buy you happines...

i know, its like i am in a lull, a safe little lull
need to get out of my comfort zone i guess !!

maybe its just a mid /late 20's crisis !!!!

I know EXACTLY how you feel man!!Unfortunately I'm in cintract for another 2.5yrs...WITH exams to study for.....WHEN WILL IT END???!!! I mean, since I came back from study leave last Monday, I may as well not be here....nobody has approached me, nobody knows how long i take for lunch and to be honest, nobody would know if i was actually in or not....how uninspiring is THAT?!!
that is what my dad is like. He's a cabbie in London, and feels that any day he is either going to hit a person and get sued or get hit himself.
The problem is that he has to pay for a family of 6, has no qualifcations, and is 50. He has no idea what to do, but whats to get out.
Question Author
yes, that does sound uninspiring, its unreal isn't it?
i just want to take my wages out of the bank and go to the airport and get a flight far away and dance on a beach and not worry about bills and debt !
wants* sorry ;-)
you do hit a point, usually in your mid-20s where you take stock of your life and try to see how to improve things. I wasted 1500 pounds (sorry US keyboard, no pound sign!) on an IT qualification that was about as much use as a bronze swimming certificate.

Unfortuantely, there arent many inspiring occupations and those that are get snapped up. I left school at 16, straight into full time employment. I'm now 37 and have never had a job that I would consider to be anything other than boring or frustrating.

Sorry, rom. Not what you wanted to hear! But thats the daily grind. Focus on life outside work, you only go to work to finance your real life (and have free net access all day of course)

i know Booldawg , i am starting to realise all of that, i just think that there must be more to life, but all of your points are so true , but depressing.
my life outside work is good and i don't think any of my friends go into work and think "yippee, i'm back at work" but there is times where i would like to think that, instead of sitting on the bus - which is free - another perk , i guess and thinking " jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus , another day of mind numbing boredom"

its just life though isn't it ?
*puts arm round roms shoulder* 'there there, its nearly hometime, hang on in there'
Question Author
ha ha ha ! thanks Booldawg !!!
perhaps a glass of wine in the garden will solve all this !!
yes.
Ha Ha even the AB editor joined in - He/She must be happy in his/her work!!!
