Wiil a tiny shard of glass show up on an x ray?

I think I may have a teeny tiny piece of glass embedded in my foot, is an X ray going to be able to pick this up - or is there a more efficient method of detection avaliable?

Well a close relative of mine had exactly this and it showed up (after several attempts to find it under local anaesthetic) fine and he had it removed under general.
