Real Men-------Real Women

Here Goes, I'm not trying to start a sex war, but what, in your opinion, constitutes the make up of a Real Man or Real Woman, more mentally than physically, although you can throw both into the pot if you wish.

Real man - dominant without being a bully.
Real woman - submissive without being a doormat.
(But that's PURELY the way i like my men and how i like to be... i wouldn't argue with anyone else's p.o.v as it's SOOOOOOOO subjective... and thank goodness we are all different... makes for a far more interesting world!)
What about you, Lonnie...?

A real man- ie, someone who is man enough (but not too much!) for me would be someone who is:
Sensitive but also masculine- not a wimp
Someone who is grown up- doesn't need to be mothered
Someone who can cook and do household things without making a big deal about it....
.. but who also can do repairs and sexy building things!

let me get this straight to be a real man i have to love my mum, now it just so happens i do love her, but if she was a huge big paedophile and i didnt love her that would make me not real?? where do you people come up with this crap? just because a man doesnt love his mum doesnt make him any less of a man
hi the sherman, glad your mums not a P and i'm glad you love her, what i meant was a a real man to admit that he loves his mum no matter whoever is listening, sometimes you hear a bloke on the phone to his mum saying yeh you too or ditto or whatever word he wants to use, for crying out loud whats wrong with; i love you mum?

Fantastic answers, thanks very much, I came up with this, after constantly reading the various posts, and wondering what you all like in your partners, or if your single, what you would like.
Now i'll put my twopennywoth in, but before I start, my father was very Victorian in his outlook, and i've inherited some of his traits, so bear that in mind as you read this, but I do accept the age we live in, even though I don't agree with a lot of the 'freedoms' that go with it..
1, I like a woman, who is content to be a housewife/homemaker, while the man is the breadwinner.
2. I like a woman who is soft on the outside, but can be solid steel when she needs to be.
3. I think, in the natural way of things, I like a woman who is a good mother.
4. I like a woman who is what I call feminine.
Having said that, when we start out as adults, I doubt there's any of us actually know what we want, or who we'll end up with, so when you get people like rugleyboy, or Ray, that have made successes of their marriages, as I believe I have, 27 years, so something must be right, then thats terrific.
As for a real man, all I can say is, I believe its ok to cry, but in private, possibly with family, but not in public,
I also believe that the man must be the strong one in a relationship, although, after years of experience, I know that even though a man is physically generally stronger than a woman, she is the one that is mostly mentally stronger,
So its a question that really means different things to different people, as the various answers have proven.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

A man is strong physically, and mentally, he's prepared to go to war if called upon. Works hard earns well. Does mannish jobs such as gardening household repairs etc
A woman is femenine not showing to man her strongest physical side. but menatally strong, does womanly chores such as cooking household cleaning etc. Naturally this can only apply if both sexes are physically and mentally fit.
