This does not sound like the Dotty I know. You always sounds like you have your head on your shoulders and not one to be easily led. At the time when you made the choice or decision for whatever it is that caused your upset, you thought it was the right thing to do. We all learn from experience, you will know better next time. Im sorry to hear your having a hard tine this weekend I I truely wish that Monday will see the old you back again .
If the person who led you on is still around , heres a few thing to get them back .
get a nappy ...used and soiled and wipe it under there car door handles ..lol
if its your partner ,, pee on his side of the bed ., or hide his false teeth or glasses .
If it was a friend , give them one other chance and if they do it again , understand they really werent a friend at all , and shagg there hubby!!

In answer to your question - I hit that point about three years ago.. no more did I let people walk all over me - just because I was lil miss nice (and still am) doesn't mean people can take advantage!
I think we all do it to a certain extent and depending on the person in question, determines how much we let them get away with and treat us the way they do.

So these days I keep my chin up and say 'no' a little more.
