Sorry, just curious, why are some of the words in your question typed out in full, i'e 'light', while others abbreviated, i.e 'nite', 'wasn', 'wit' and 'wi', (I am assuming the last two are both ''with'), what determines the rules with 'text speak'?
As the author of the question, I am sure it makes perfect sense to you when you read it, however, the missing punctuation makes it difficult for the rest of us to comprehend your meaning without extra effort. This is not a criticism as such (punctuation is a pain at times), but perhaps it would help you to get more answers if you refrained from using 'text' abbreviations as well, as this just adds to the confusion.
In answer to your post however, the boy in question probably sees you as a 'stand by', i.e. if he 'lucks out' elsewhere, he knows he can always 'fall back' on you (no pun intended), as an ego boost. Therefore, as long as you put up with it, he'll keep stringing you along.
