Just wondered if everyone had a nice weekend? Did anyone do anything exciting? As you may be able to tell I'm a trifle bored today and am also giving up smoking so need lots of distractions!

Sunday just chilled. Got up late, went to Tesco to get some lunch, cut the grass, dozed in the afternoon.
I could do with another day off though!!

Ive got my Niece staying with me for a couple of weeks so that scuppered my usual deviant shenanigans!
On Saturday I did manage to confirm that I still cant play golf .
Sunday went out for a long ride on the bike and had the parents round for Sunday roast then watched the footy - pretty quiet really!

So there I was, bogged down in enemy territory, lying prostate on my stomach with 5 enemies lurking in the trees 50 yards further forward. "Tom", I shouted at a friend I knew was backing me up. But no answer. I knew it before I even turned my head, that he'd fallen to enemy fire and I was on my own. Grimly, I turned back to look at my faceless enemies and checked my ammunition. Less than 10 bullets, and no hope of rescue. As I plucked a stem of grass out of the ground and gritted it between my teeth, I vowed to avenge my fallen comrades, and not desert my post. 10 full minutes past in which I expended my ammo, and relied instead on nothing but bluff to keep the enemy at bay. A sharp whistle in the distance and it was over - a draw for the team, and enough to give us an overall victory. "Well done mate, that was superb" said a marshall patting me on the back. I bowed my head. "I'm just an ordinary man, doing extraordinary things" I replied.
