steviep165, that could happen to anyone at any time, this is a serious question.
check out the website then. there are numerous ways alcoholism can kill you. not all of them physical ailments. the mental unbalance brought about by this "disease" can be just as dangerous.
steviep165 has a very valid point.

Alcoholism kills more people in the UK than smoking ~ in various ways.
I'm living proof that alcoholism doesn't kill.
warpig1. A friend of mine lost her hubby through booze. To begin with he was just a social drinker but the booze got the better of him. He was warned over and over by his GP but refused to go to AA and died of Sclerosis of the liver,just 42 years old leaving my friend and 4 kids to pick up the pieces. That was 12 years ago and thankfully she's been able to move on. She's teetotal and hates alcohol and the damage it can do. Kay.
It is inevitable you will die or go iretrievably insane. Suicide is a big killer of alcoholics. Most psychiatric hospitals are home to many alcoholics.

Death can come mainly as suicide, liver chirosis or accidents, throat cancer, diabetes...
