Different perceptions of what men and women consider attractive!

I work in an office of 21 people, split between 10 men and 11 women, so fairly evenly split, and this morning we had a little straw poll as to which figure was more attractive, Posh Spice or Angelina Jolie.

Without exception all the blokes went for the latter, whereas 9 of the 11 girls went for Posh Spice.

My gast has been flabbered! Why would women think that stick insect skinniness is more attractive than the utterly gorgeous figured Ms Jolie?

Wierd! My guy thinks Posh Spice looks awful and so do I.In fact I dont think I know of a single person that does think her attractive.

I'm a girl and I'd go for Jolie! She looks like she'd be up for a laugh at least...

Posh is attractive, and would definitely initiate a double take if you happened to see her down the supermarket. But on a celebrity scale where pretty much everyone is good looking, then she's nothing special. Ms Jolie gets my vote.

Although my personal favourite at the moment is the French woman in the Clio advert ( the French car, British design one). All of her mannerisms, the biting of the lip, the tuts of disgust, and expressions of surprise are exquisite. I think I'm in love.

Im female and i dont think posh is anything special at all. Ok so she skinny, but shes skinny to the point of looking sick and malnourished, sorry but i would not say thats attractive.
Jolie is the better looking of the two

I'm a girl and I'd say Angelina is the more attractive (and Mr Hellion definitely thinks so). Posh is so contrived right down to the weird pouting she does everytime she thinks there's a camera on her.
I think it's just your office flip-flop!

I'm a she-male (*ahem*) and I would never want to look like Vicky Beckham. I would pick Ange Jolie anyday, even though she is also too thin in my opinion. I think Catherine Zeta-Douglas has the right sort of figure. Feminine with all the curves in the right place. I'd like a body like hers; a body which looks great in a swimsuit. I don't have the boobs. Or if I have the boobs then I usually have the belly to match! :'o(

I don't find either attractive but of the two I'd go for Jolie. I saw the video of Wannabe the other day and it reminded me how attractive VB looked then, when she had some meat on her. I can't add anything to the above comments regarding the state of her now. Most women I know who've expressed an opinion think she looks horrible.

I was a definite fan of the "curvy" look for years, still am but have recently found myself going for not necessarily skinny but the straight-down boyish look. e.g. Nicole Kidman... oh man. I might have a teeny bit of gayness in the blood as, although I love women and find men pretty repulsive (except for Johnny Depp) I find myself drawn to tomboyish girls with short hair and small breasts and who dress in stuff like combats and boots/trainers etc.

Face wise, I'd vote for Posh. I think Angelina Jolie has a slightly funny face - can't put my finger on what it is about it though.

Figure wise, I think Posh is a bit on the skinny side. So I'd vote AJ in that guise.

Either way, both obviously very attractive ladies (not bitter in the slightest...honest)

I think you picked 2 exceptionally false looking celebs to base your survey on. I bet if you chopped the heads off them both though and just showed the women the bodies more would opt for AJ than VB.
The trouble with those 2 in alot of womens minds is that one has been cheated on, the other stole someone elses husband, so they're always going to be biased, no matter what they say, lol! I think they're both plastic and fake!

Well Jolie's a bit lacking in the Boat dept but her hot toddy is magic. Posh is a stick insect, unattractive to a lot of blokes. This has been gone into on here several times and generally most blokes go for the curvy over the skinny but most women seem to want to be skinny rather than curvy, weird eh? Kiera knightly for example is the opposite of Jolie, nice boat but thin as a rake be like going out with jockey!
