Boots prescription glasses

My daughter has just got hers and she cant see as well as she can in her old ones! they will be going back ... just wondered if anyone had had any problems with theirs

they will have done them to the prescription Trish and your daughter will have to get used to them probably, maybe her old glasses were not corrective enough and she was just being lazy eyed as I call it! Do you know what i mean lol?

Yeah that's right, she'll just have to get used to them. I've worn specs all my life and I always find a new pair diffcult to see with and it's so tempting just to go back to the old pair but she's got to resist that temptation. If it doesn't begin to sort itself out soon though, there is a possibility that the prescription's wrong but assume it's correct for a bit!xxx

I've had a couple of problems with prescriptions being made up wrong (left and right lenses muddled up - at both Vision Express and Specsavers), so it could be that. I was only a child, and staff in both shops were reluctant to believe that there was a problem and told me that would soon get used to them. They did re-do the glasses on both occasions, and I have been going to Boots for about 15 years, and have never had any problems with them, but then again everyone makes mistakes! If your daughter thinks that there's something wrong I would take her and them back to check it out.

I've had to take my vari-focals back twice to Specsavers. I thought it was me at 1st as I was used to my old ones. I only went to SS as it was 2 for the price of 1. Never again,Im sticking with my original optician she knows what she's doing!.

I had a similar problem, although not with Boots. Does your daughter have an astigmatism? This is where one eye may be a different shape to the other. Some opticians prescribe different style lenses to 'help' with this without you realising. I just couldn't get on with mine and are far happier with normal lenses. Otherwise, maybe they've not been fitted properly and aligned to her eyes right.

She's doing the best thing by going back, I'm sure they'll sort it.
