regulars

i havent been on the site long but have noticed quite a few regulars and i was just wondering when ppl read posts do they ever wince and think god the regulars are ever gonna give you some straight talk or is it just me?incidentally i do go back to see if im right and havent been failed yet!!

i have to say i usually think the regulars are very cliquey and defensive. For example, no-one would ever tell a certain user that his or her posts are stupid, ignorant and taking the p out of others because he or she his a regular; therefore he/she gets defended, and people write replys like ha ha, good one etc. However, if it was someone who is not a "regular" they would get shot down, drummed out, de-frocked, or whatever it is you do with redundant questioners (tongue cut out maybe?)

i just get by with disliking/disbelieving everyone in a same amount!

Well hopefully most of us try to give sensible answers without judgement, although I do sometimes admit to the odd 'in' joke (ie baby walkers, skipping, toothbrushes) which newbies might not get !

I mostly try to give sensible answers - if the question warrants it. But if its a daft question and were all having a bit of fun - there's no harm in it.

I'm never malicious or personally attack anyone though!

I agree kazza 100%. I've not been on here long, although I must admit to have been reading posts now for 3-4 weeks.
Certain people do stick their neck out to be critical of others and if it is questioned say that they were being funny and it is their odd/strange sense of humour. But when another (not so regular or newie) gives a similar comment it is taken the wrong way by those just mentioned, who cannot see this persons humour! A lot of bravo, well said, Oh you are so funny, comes out and also a lot of banal questions are asked by them, but they will slag off anyone 'new' who posts a daft question!! Such a shame really because there are some very witty and clever replies, which I enjoy.

but Bob's humour is more thought out and refined, mine is often spontaneous and so lacks clarity and definition.

Bob has the natural ability, though sometimes quite raw, to create a humorous situation that can be visualised as well as read, which is indeed a talent.
