If you could be a child ( aged between 3 and 10) again for one day what would you chose to do with your day? I would chose to go to the seaside, preferably Blackpool, ride a donkey (way too big these days) and then go and play in the sand with my bucket and spade. Then i would go round the fair, go mad on the dodgems and eat loads of candy floss not caring if its all over my face!
Then i would find a great park and spend hours on the see-saw and swings. I would finish off my day watching all the old kids programmes on the telly and fall asleep on my Mums lap!!! heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know you've made me feel really immature julie because I still do all of that ( except falling asleep on my mums' lap).
Bearing that in mind, I'd have something to eat that I've not seen in years, those fry's five centers bars, I used to love those.
MMM I loved those Fry's Five Centres! And do you remember the stripy minty sweets called Pacers? (similar to Opal Fruits - sorry, Starburst - in shape and size but minty) I loved those and Fry's Five Centres... you could roll the fondant into a ball before eating it
I would find one of those roundabouts which used old fashioned pedal cars, and spend all day on it.

I would also eat several Wagon Wheels just so they can be the size I remember all over again :o)

Just to do all the lovely kiddy things that we're too old for now would be fantastic!

Hi julie,

I can't believe you have had so few answers to such a lovely question, the russian gets loads, is it becoming more of a chat room than Q & A site ? if it is I will consider leaving it,cos it is silly,I like the banter, but we need proper questions don't we, Take care julie, Ray xxx
would love to go on one of those big slides with the bumps down them, walk all the way up those steps with a sack, ride down, knock a few peeps down at the bottom then do it all again, watch some old tv progs itsy & bitsy, barbapapa etc, have a water fight with washing up liquid bottles, sit on my Dads fence with blankets on it and pretend i'm riding a horse,go to the British Legion and play Jack Straws, have one of those packs of crackers with cheese & a silverskin onion, then go home and chips wrapped in newspaper :o)

Hi ray, i agree, i thought this would get more answers than tthat! Maybe its just me that would love to have a piece of my childhood back!!! and you ;-)
Metz, what a great answer, itsy and bitsy were the biz!
i also used to love making tents with blankets in the bedroom, what great fun and whenever you wanted an empty fairy liquid bottle, your Mum never had one!!!!!!!!!! I used to go trawling through the bin just to find one! what fun!
Hi Jules, babes! Hope you've had a lovely weekend!

Oooh, hmmm...

I think I would go back to when I was about 7 and my sister, 5. My mum used to go and see her sister down in Sussex for the day and we'd have a day with my dad (who worked long hours, so we didn't see much of him). We were so spoilt on those days. He'd take us to Toys R Us and then for dinner where we could have whatever we wanted. Then we'd come home and play for hours.

My dad would put on his Pink Floyd and Phil Collins videos full blast (I know, I know! :o)) and he'd make us tunnels with newspapers through the whole house, and ended up covered in print. We'd be rushing round late trying to tear them all down in fits of giggles before my mum got in.

Then my mum would come home and we'd have home-made chips, before bath-time and bed.

Brilliant question by the way, hun! Made me all tearful xxx

Hi whisky, sounds like you ahd a great time with your Dad!!!!!Oh, and nothing wrong with Pink Floyd and Phil Collins!!!!!! I dont know what made me think of this question, other than the fact that i love nostagia and would love to do some really kiddie things sometimes. I'd give anything to have just one childhood day back.
I'd love to be picking strawberries with my grampa in his garden in the sunshine, and in his greenhouse to pick ripe tomatoes (the smell takes me right back to that!). I'd get strawberry juice all over the place, and be allowed to eat what I picked all to myself - what a treat! After that my brother and I would play in the woods and swing from the biggest rope swing ever, come home filthy dirty, be bathed and fall asleep on my dads lap!
mmmm... wish I wasn't 30!
