bad headaches
2 Answers
I have had a really bad headache on and off for about a week now. I work on computers and it seems to be this that's sets them off. I went for an eye test and needed new glasses but these havent helped. It might sound weird but it feels like the pain is right behind my eyes, in my temple and sometimes right at the back of my head. Also my eyes have been stinging almost as is if I have been swimming and the chlorine has hurt my eyes. Anybody got any ideas?? Or any remedies or things I can do to help this pain to go??thanks

Is your computer screen showing reflection from a window behind you? This can put a strain on your eyes so you should try a filter for your screen or moving your desk about. With your eyes becoming sore, you may have something called Dry Eye. This makes your eyes feel gritty and sore, I get this too but take eye drops to help lubricate them. Also, when you are concentrating on something on the computer, you blink less therefore your eyes become dryer and more irritated,
Hope this helps :o)

I wonder if your headaches are being caused by bad posture sitting at your computer? Check if your shoulders are being permanently raised and stiffened which causes a lot of muscle tension. This in turn can result in bad headaches. Practice letting your shoulders drop regularly and at least once an hour stand up and do some good backward stretches and walk around for a few minutes. You shouldnt be staring at a computer screen for more than an hour at a time without a break. Also, treat yourself to an eye bath and a bottle of Optrex Eye Wash and give yourself a refreshing eye bath a couple of times a day.
