Mebbe I'm wrong here, but last I heard, Unilever (manufacturers of Dove stuff) were still testing on animals. I can (just about) understand that for medications for sick folk but not for cosmetics. I really hope I am wrong.

As I said, I really hope I'm wrong here .... come on you lot, detectives are needed - suss out Dove's policy on animal testing (maybe I've got it wrong, but it's just what I'd heard).

Their site advises they test on animals 'only when necessary' - like mascara is necessary? - and are 'comitted to ending animal testing' - tell us when than . . . . come on, tell us . . . oh, doesn't say . ..

Unfortunately, companies like Unilever are still pursuing the animal testing and in other divisions of their business also mucking about with things like adding GM fish by-products into ice cream - application just made to the FSA. Just the sort of thing we need to consume...
