Don't think there is a cheat to be honest. Pure points is the same as WW123 success so if you've got the books etc from that then your sorted. If you don't the best way to do it and save money is to go once pay your 4.95 (or whatever it is now) and buy the points guide, the eating out guide and the points calculator. That way you can calculate how many points are in every food you eat. My mums' a leader and I did it a couple of years ago and lost 2 stone, it's a brilliant "diet" more a healthy eating plan more than anything else. Good Luck :o) x
Find someone in the office who's doing/done it (it's amazing when you ask around, how many are on weightwatchers!), ask to borrow the book, and photocopy the relavent pages - that's what i did!

Thanks for the honest and less honest route. I will opt for the ask around option and see what turns up....
I know that the amount of points in a food item is one point per 70 calories (rounded to the nearest half point)plus an extra point for each four grammes of saturated fat. If you go to WW, they try to sell you a fifteen quid calculator with this programmed into it, but it's not hard to work the points out in your head. Your daily points allowance goes from (IIRC) 18 points up to about 32 depending on your gender and starting weight.
I'm sorry if this is a bit off track, but the only reason I've been wary of such diets is the fact that you can't do them all your life. Just like you couldnt (physically or motivationally) eat protien forever, it is unrealistic to think that you would be calculating points everytime you ate until you died. This is highly cliched and also very irratating for people who are genuinely trying to lose weight, but it is a much better plan to make a change in your lifestyle, become educated about the food you eat, and eat in moderation accordingly. Something that you can always do. Also, decide to be overall, more active in your everyday life. This is certainly a slow process but it is a sure one. The results will be longer lasting and you will feel more fulfilled comapred to if you have to obsess about food and their points everytime you eat.
