expert hair colourist help needed

How do you determine which strength of developer to use on your hair? My base colour is dark blonde and my previous hairdresser used l'oreal majirel 10.1 (lightest ash blonde), unfortunately she has gone to australia for a year, so I need to find an alternative. How do I know which vol developer she used? Thanks.

the bottles of peroxide come in 3 strengths - 20%, 40% and 60%..........depending on the resistence of your hair, personally I use 60% but I've got particularly resistant dark hair.
Apparently, it is better for your hair to use the lowest strength twice (ie half a tube of colour + measure of developer) rather than using a stonger developer.
Hope this helps

Also if you are buying directly from the wholesaler - you can buy the exact shade that your regular hairdressser uses.....the majirel brand is very good and has a massive range. - they are much better than the standard off the shelf colours eg Nice n Easy etc.
