if so why, has there been something inparticular that has happened that will make you belive forever?

As I am a bit of a cynic I wondered if anyone could change my mind and if you can guess what star sign I am.

I'm not sure I do as I don't appear to share any of the attributes my star sign is supposed to have. Although I will read them in papers and magazines and stupidly am quite happy if I get a good one!

I'd guess capricorn for your sign.
They are fun to read for a laugh, but i dont believe them,

I am a Sagittarius, but reading the horoscopes in Closer magazine i could be a Scorpio, Gemini, Leo, Taurus etc...

They are generic and usually written to fit the masses!

Infact i think i could be an astrologer! ;o)

I'm guessing you are a Pisces!
Not really, but I do read them. I dont believe that the same thing can happen to everyone under that star sign. And I just think the predictions cover a wide range of things that occasionally match something thats going on in your life. Its fun to read them but I could never be one of those people that run their life by the stars. People only believe what they want to. And I think youre a Pisces.
i'm not sure i believe in them either!!

but i would say you are a virgo xXx

Well, according to this - I'm supposed to be....... Creative, Generous, Flamboyant, Egotistical, Selfish, Attention-seeker, Optimistic.......I would say this is probably about 75% true.

I don't really believe them, and usually skip over them in magazines etc. I can't really see how x number of newspapers/magazines can all have compltely different horoscopes for the same star sign, if they believe it is a prededtined path surely they should all say roughly the same thing............like someone else they are designed to appeal to the masses and are usually very vague so anyone can read what they want into them!!

A xXx

Well done posy you got it.
At one time I thought they were all baloney, then I started reading my horoscope in The Sun - now I believe utterly.

I am Scorpio, with all the intense goodness that implies.
I once had a Horary??? horoscope reading by someone who didn't know me at all and I gave them no info as they went along. They were amazingly accurate almost to the day in some places about major things that had happened in my life to date, knew how many children I have an more or less the months and years they were born and told me the date and month of my father's death when I was a child. She also foresaw to the month which was at the time 3 years in the future a serious health problem involving my head ( I had TB meningistis) so I was very impressed with her to be honest.
I can't say I ever read the ***** in the papers etc but she did fairly convert me from being a 100% cynic to being quite impressed and a bit agnostic on the subject.
Homer55 - You will have a short work day today and find it hard to get motivated. You will meet someone you haven't seen for a while. You will be invited to a special event and will learn something imortant about your friends over the next week.

Let me know how I did and I will tell you how I put it together.

Well.. Im working till 5:30 so not a short one. I always find it hard to get motivated, todays nothing special. Dont know about meeting someone i havent seen for a while let see how that one plans out.

Iv arrange a special event so invited myself (dont think that counts).

And lets see about the friends thing next week.
No, I don't believe in it. Funny how many people here say that, but then also say "but I do read them."

Some people have the ability to read things quite accurately about a person, but it's psychological, not psychic. Derren Brown regularly demonstrates this on his TV shows. I'm no great fan of his, but I do appreciate how he makes no bones about being an entertainer and is upfront about how he has no "powers" as such but has the skill of being able to deduce all sorts of things about a person's life just from their appearance, general behaviour, responses, etc.

Predicting to the month the occasion of an illness is pretty good, and I understand how impressive-sounding that is. But I suspect they got 'lucky' with that rather than having a psychic ability, or getting it from astrological readings.
HI Homer55 - From how you respond to the 'predictions' I suggest you dont want to belive they might be right, but you could if you wanted to - ie. party etc (you normally leave at 5.30? or 6?) ... lets see what would happen if you wanted to believe it was accurate..... I put the bits together based on it being a hot friday in the summer and that most people will bump into someone the havent seen for a while at somepoint over a few days.

Back in 15C when astrology was improtant, the best astrologers (like Kepler) used common sence rather than 'magic' to make predictions. He also tried an experiment on his own life based soley on atrological 'magic' predictions. it was mostly wrong. he lost 'faith' in astrology and became an astronomer for the most part - one of the fathers of modern science.
yyyaaayyy i got it right!!! maybe i do believe in them then!! i said virgo coz they are supposed to be sceptical and indecisive which is what you seemed to be!!!!
