its not normal as you put it. It can occur for no reason and not have any affect on baby. It is always advisable to see you midwife or at the very least call the EPU (thats early pregnancy unit if you dont know) and ask.
It can also be a very slight bleed and yet still mean something terrible has happened to the baby.
if you were apparently concerned enough to ask on here you shouldve been concerned enough to phone the NHS.

Aha, this is true ~ bleeding during pregnancy can be normal, but shouold ALWAYS be checked out & you should not rely on the internet for advice.

Most women would want to know how their pregnancy is progressing. You need your blood pressure & urine checked regularly as this will ascertain your general health and will indicate problems which are not always evident in your day to day life.
