This is the popular thread so problem is,my youngest daughter has a friend just turned 10 couple of months back,she lives with her 12 year old brother,her mum,her mums bloke and their kids,a while back the step dad used to drink himself stupid then he would have a pop at my daughters friend,he was such a w4nk3r,that she would wet the bed at night and always wanted to stay with us so she didnt have to go home,she would be grounded for SUCH silly things that in the end we took her on holiday with us so she could be away from him,he has had the police after him for violence towards this girls mum also,a few weeks back he went on the wagon and was a totally different bloke but now he's back on the drink and its all started up again, the girl has told us tonight that he had put a knife up against her throat threatening to cut her,i KNOW he's capable and the bed wetting has started again,i cant have this girl being another statistic,would i be doing the right thing in calling social services,knowing their reputation and having no solid proof,could they do anything,by the way she was going to sleep tonight but he said no cos he broke his bike and grounded her instead,hes a nasty piece of work,but ONLY to her,his kids and the oldest boy he wont touch!!

We've decided to speak to an old mate of ours who went to work at social services,we found this out during a conversation last night,hopefully he'll be able to help with it,we also know that after the violence towards the mother he was sent away on the basis that he didnt go back to the house as he has his OWN council flat that the taxpayer is paying for,on top of the fact that WE are all paying for the house they presently live in,AND 2 lots of income support under BOTH addresses,just gets better doesnt it???
Tonight hopefully pink,Pi$$es me off when they get all that and still the girl gets nothing,they have bought her a bike on several occasions,then few weeks later they pawn it then get her another then pawn that,etc,
we've invited her to sleep over tonight then come to the airshow with us tomorow,,,not allowed!!!

Yeah,thats what raysparx suggested,i'm all up in the air at mo,sometimes it all seems fine,then,BOOM,i'll have word with ,scrub that,just had my daughter come in saying the girl is grounded cos she asked HIM to wait for her when they were walking up the hill,her mother has just said that the girls attitude stinks so she's not coming out!

What a mess for you to have to try and sort out, I do hope things start to get better soon,these cretins should be castrated or sterilised,they do not deserve children,but to be honest the mother doesn't sound a lot better trhan him,or is he manipulating the mum? No mother should allow a child to be treated like this poor little love,speak later,take care & good luck, Ray xx

Hi,you 2,had great day today,took the girl with us,was gonna have her sleep over but not allowed,so we said she can stay tomorrow,spoke to someone today from SS,according to them unless i have proof of abuse,the parents word will be enough UNLESS the girl is prepared to speak out,she's 10,how the hell can they expect her to speak against her parents when she has to go back to that house,basically i have to wait for injury before they do anything,tell me please does this sound right to you,a case of 'bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted' i think.Hubby is spitting mad,Would have thought with their reputation SS would be falling over themselves to get her out,hubby reckon he's gonna go police,what good can they do???

Glad you had a nice day, What the hell is wrong in Britain,how many times do we have to wait till a kiddie is badly injured or worse before action is taken ? then we are told it will never happen again, well not till the next time,it's pathetic, I think if I were you I would go to the SS on monday and tell them you want it logged and you want a case reference number,because when something does happen you are going to cause one hell of a stink,I thought things might have improved,they obviously haven't,

Electric - how about popping into your local police station and asking them for some advice?? Tell them you are really worried something serious is going to happedn and SS aren't taking it seriously.Also,I would ring the council about the rent situation - they will evixt him if correct and he will have to leave that house.Keep me posted hun -its a dreadful situation.xx
