How to talk to a lady - GENUINE advice please

I'm single and a bit shy. I often see some nice looking women in the supermarket. I often smile at them and get a mixture of being ignored, looked at as if I have excrement on my face or (very seldom) a smile back. How do I actually strike up a conversation?

I also often see some nice ladies walking down the road when I'm driving. I think that if I just stopped and got out of the car, they'd feel threatened (and I can understand that), so how do say "hi" safely?

When you are in the supermarket,why not just ask advice on how to cook something or excuse me but can you recommend something quick to cook for dinner,and if it goes well add would you care to join me, as you say no good just stoping car they will run a mile, have a bit more confidence, I know it's not easy but you will soon get into it,also flirt with the girls on here a bit, in this section there are loads of single girls,it will soon give you a boost,loot out for the chatty type questions and join in,they will be really nice to you, good luck, Ray

Hiya Surrey guy- I think the best way to talk to a woman is just be natural- jumping out of a car would be a bit freaky but if you are in a bar there is no harm in just saying hello and seeing if she wants to chat back. Same applies for anywhere really, just be friendly and if she wants to chat she will. If I saw you in Tescos I would smile at you Im always friendly ! :O)

Honestly surrey, in B&S there are loads,once they get to know you they are a great bunch of ladies,even chatting to the married ones will give you a bit more confidence,just look out for the chatty questions,if you have a sense of humour you won't fail believe me,girls love a bloke with that, Ray

I wouldn't recommend driving down the road and stopping to chat a woman up, you might find the blues and two behind you and your arrested for curb crawling, not a wise move really... although I guess it depends what areas you are driving around in leering at ladies

Have you got any friends you could go out for a quiet drink with every now and then? Or maybe even go for a quiet drink by yourself for early doors? You never know who you will bump into (or catch the eye of) for a chat, don't expect it every time tho, these things do take time.

As for talking to women in the supermarket, just a pleasant smile and a hello, note the time and day you were there, then you can always try again same time same place the next week if a lady catches your eye. Again this would take time as the lady needs to notice that she keeps bumping into you and if interested hopefully you will get all the right signals back then you can start to strike up a conversation.
