Why worry Dot, saves you dragging the puter into the garden.
its lovely in Edinburgh Dot!
my mum got a call around that age. Shes the only person Ive ever known to get called.
I count my lucky stars that i havnt been called. i mean, fancy having to travel to another city just to be a juror. Assuming they do that of course.

Hope weather gets better soon. Hows the eczema now? is cooler weather improving it?

its raining here, and recently we've had 5 members of staff called in for jury duty ages ranging from 25-63, so you never know........
Ive never been called to jury service either!! Yet my b/f has twice!. Very cloudy here as well Dot,and windy as well,

the street's the place to go

I have been on jury service and in all honesty I would say that it is very very very dull, but mostly depressing.
Don't you have to be a citizen to be called up?
hope the break in the weather gives it a chance to heal now. I know what its like and thankfully havnt suffered this year. Its no joke.

As a result of the 2003 Criminal Justice Act, every person on the electoral roll, (who has lived in the UK for five years) is eligible for jury service. The only exceptions are people deemed to have "mental disorders", people over 70 years-old or people who have been disqualified from jury service, such as those with criminal convictions. This means you will be liable to attend jury service, regardless of your job or commitments
I wonder if wonderwoman 1,

I was told that if you are visiting folk in Edinburgh, they say you'll have had your Tea

Also, when called, you will have no knowledge of whether you will actually be selected to a jury, let alone what the case will be. I was sent home 3 days in an row before actually being selected, and even then, when you hear the details for the case (the charge, duration etc) and you are asked whether you are able and willing to serve the case.
