Saunas - what's the point?
6 Answers
I really like saunas, but i don't know what the point of them is. I've heard it's to lose excess water, but i have to drink so much of it to avoid getting a huge headache for the rest of the day that surely i just replace any water i sweat. any suggestions?

If you are getting headaches and having to take loads of water in, you are either having the temperature too high, or staying in too long, or both. Why not adjust either or both factors, you should enjoy it more.
Loosing excess water is done by jockeys and boxers who have to make a specific weight at a specific time, not for the casual user, so take it easy.

Sauna session increases the amount of oxygen and nutrients delivered to your organs especially the skin. Saunas make your body heat up the same way it would if you had a fever, helping your body to heal itself. Saunas makes you sweat and helps you shed salt and water, thereby allowing you to lose extra weight.
