What day would you celebrate?
9 Answers
Ok, bear with me here! Just wanted to see what other people think! If you got together with someone on Sunday 25th September 2005 and you celebrated that anniversary every month, would you celebrate it on The last Sunday in the month, or on the 25th??
My boyfriend always tries to celebrate it on the last sunday and thinks this is right, i however say, you don't celebrate your birthday on the second tuesday in november do you? you celebrate it on the day!
Is he mad or do others do this??
xx

I would say that cards/gifts etc would be given on the 25th and if there is a night out for a meal or something, even though you could go any night, I would probably plump for a Friday or a Saturday, much as you would for a birthday or a wedding anniversary.
I would celebrate both, use the last Sunday as a 'practice run' such as breakfast in bed, spend the day together that sort of thing and the 25th as a nice meal out, or theatre/cinema, just something different or even a liitle momento of the day, like a poem, flower, ornament or just something silly but meaningful to you two. Can you tell that I do this?
Aww Eric that's so lovely!!! That's a great idea too!
I think it's sweet that you celebrate like this too Caz! Something that is special between 2 people. My hubby is also a bit of a romantic and leaves me little love notes and will buy me flowers on a whim, we celebrate on the date (second of December) of when we first started going out as well as our Wedding Anniversary :o)
....and they say romance is dead!

Well I would say the date not the day also. Eric I wish my husband was like you.! we never do anything unless I arrange it.He remembers my birthday and anniversary but alwas asks what I want or if I want to go anywhere. For once I would like him to do something or book somewhere, Oh well after nearly 35 years in two weeks he isnt likely to change now.shame!
