what were they called?

didn't know where to post this so i am putting it here!!

when i was a kid i had a toy that looked like a planet, it was a ball in the middle of a circle of plastic that you put your feet on and jump.
anybody know what i am on about and what they were called?? xXx

Yes, it was a spacehopper. When we were younger my friend had one and I had a go on it, slipped and cut my lip on the kerb! Bl**dy things. X

I know what you mean posy, they were out in the mid to late 80's? I worked part time in a toy shop while I was at college then and we stocked them. They would be bought on a saturday then returned on a tuesday by angry parents with a child with a broken ankle in tow, lol!

Spacehoppers are big rubber balls that you sit on. They have a moulded rubber head (usually of an animal) that you put betweeen your legs, and the ears form the handles, that you hold to keep the spacehopper underneath you. They are nothing like what posy is describing, although I can't remembver the name. Could be pogo ball.

i still can't remember what i called them!! but they were loads of fun!! i could do them really well but i could never hula hoop!!!
