thank you that's really helpful!
It's not called ''The Honeymoon Disease'' for nothing
I thought that title was given to cystitis, naz...I've had that a fair few times!

Hope you get it sorted, sparkle. Thrush is horrible :o(
Your correct Pips, before free range sex, cystitis was indeed THD !!!
A sugary diet. Not getting Mr sparkle treated at the same time. Soy sauce and other yeast-based products. Tight knickers or thongs. Tight jeans. Perfumed soap powder.
Sorry sparkle, sent 1st too soon...

should have said, that live yoghurt eaten and administered (cooling) is very good. Also Aqueous Cream to wash with - large tub at the pharmacy counter - quite cheap to buy, lasts a long time as you do not need to use much.

As Pippa says it is horrible, and that embarrassing itch - argh!!

iii ☺
sorry for sounding like a stupid bloke, but can you really catch thrush from eating soya sauce?
Hi stevie,

Yeast based foods can act as a trigger to thrush.
A common reason for recurrence is anti-biotics (especially strong doses - taken for something unrelated) which break down the natural body defences against the candida bug. Doctors, when prescribing ab's sometimes mention taking precautions against thrush (if they know the patient is susceptical to it) suggesting live (bio) cultures, and cutting down on yeast products.

Hope this helps,
iii ☺
