i am 17 yrs old.. i have never had a proper boyfriend and indeed only had my first kiss about a year ago. the thing is i think i might be bisexual. my best friend is a lesbian and for some reason i have become immensely jealous of her since she recently got a girlfiend. i find myself seeing girls and thinkin how attractive they are. iv found myself kind of fantasizing over my female friends but they kno nothing of my confusion and worries. the aforementioned friend trusted me by me being the first she confided in about her sexuality and i want to talk to her about this but im not sure how she will react. i also have no idea how to broach the subject because she has no idea that i anything other than straight cos i (like the rest of the population) regularly go on about my latest crush etc (male) so it will be a shock to her however i begin. does anyone have experiences that may help me? or idea of how to bring up the subject and state my concerns? thanks a lot =]

If she's as good a friend as she sounds, she won't mind, and she'll probably have an idea anyway - it's amazing how our friends can know things about us that we don't even know about ourselves.

Just tell her straight. Perhaps the two of you over a glass of wine of an evening?

Talk to your friend - she will be over the moon to be able to help, I'm sure.

But nothing you have said has made me think you are bisexual, so keep an open mind. Women are constantly portrayed in the media as being sexually attractive beings, much more so than the male image - I think all women react to this trigger.

You don't need to give yourself a label. Certainly not until you are sure. :)

ah but the thing is i dont kno how i will be sure? how do i kno for sure? oo confoooooooosed!!
only you will know for sure about your feelings and even if you are not 100% certain I am sure talking to a friend will help theres nothing worse than keeping things to yourself its obvious it is bothering you.

a close friend will listen and understand and will not judge you and as you mentioned she once confided in you about her sexuality so im sure she will have a good idea of how hard it must be and understand your confused, we all go through things that confuse us or worry us, i really do think talking to someone about your feelings will help you loads.

Just be honest about how you feel, any true friend will stand by and support you 100%
Hey well im 21 and was in exactly the same position as you when i was 18 i just started to like girls etc, and in the end it all just fell into place, i think i have always found girls alot more prettier but still liked guys at the same time. And then i had a year long relationship with a girl who id liked for around 6 months and i can say that nothing has ever felt as right as that did - but that ended and after much jealousy arguments etc we still live together and are very close though i dont know how either of us will react if we was to get together with someone else.
You need to make sure that your not just jealous of your best friend in the sence that you think you are being replaced as a friend ? rather than being jealous and wanting to be with her yourself plus you need to be careful if you do like your friend do you want anything to come of it as your friendship could end if the relationship does.
I think you should be honest with her tell her how you have been feeling and be honest im sure she will understand as she has too been in the position you have been in. Maybe have a couple of drinks and then bring up the subject that way itll be less nerve racking for you :)
good luck
