is it a physical feeling? have you ever thought you were, only to fall in love for real and find out that you never were originally (if you know what I mean!)

Because love can be a totally different feeling from one person to the next. Some people fall for anyone they get together with, others never fall in love. For me I have thought Ive been in love then realised later I didnt as I had no feelings for them anymore and to me true love never dies.
It is an emotion that can have physical side effects! I think that as you develop your own emotions your idea of love and what that is/means to you changes over time. I think we have all experienced that first true love and then moved on life to find love in a deeper way as we develop and mature. You cant really say how you know, as said above its a personal instinct. The idea of commitment is accepting that you will love no other the way you love the person you are with, although unlikely, this is why people commit to a relationship and/or marriage as they believe rightly or wrongly that 'this is the one'. Only you will know that.
I havent been out with anyone is absolutely years. Due to the fact that I am pretty fussy etc
but I have been in love and agree with 888sally!
when you realise that you have lost the "love of your life" so to speak it sucks!

hhhmmmm....well I'm definitely love sick, feeling a mixture of sickness, anticipation, excitement all the time and not feeling like eating - not a common condition for me to be in! and the usual 'not being able to focus on anything - smiling at nothing in particular - letting everything slide.' Yes I think I might be - ooer!
