Is sweetcorn considered healthy food?

Whenever I eat it, I only seem able to partially digest which suggests to me that some of it is not that good.

Sweetcorn is a good source of folate. It also helps protect against age-related macular degeneration and helps fight free radicals in the retina. It provides more starch and more calories than most vegetables. It is high in iron and potassium. It is also a good food for steadying blood sugar.
Sweetcorn is fairly high in calories so don't overdose.
I think the parts that aren't digested ar just the shells of the kernels..the inside part is very good for you, as Octavius has quite rightly pointed out :o)
Thus if you don't chew your food thoroughly the sweetcorn can easily pass through you undigested!

Useful if you are on a diet and want to feel full but not absorb nutrients!
i eat sweetcorn all the time, the one with no salt in is the best for you yummy
the skin/shell doesn't digest well and whole kernels can sometimes be more or less sealed up and therefore won'y digest.

it is very good for you so just try to chew it better, however it won't do you any harm if they come out whole.
do you check your poop for other food aswell?
