What is the ideal temperature for a healthy home?

i think astornauts work in a constant 21celcius..

if thats correct, i would imagine 21 would be the ideal temperature for homes.

not a 100% certain answer......
16 (60F) for bedrooms and 21 (70F) for living rooms seems to suit most people. Generally the young and the elderly like it hotter!
Yep, 19-23�C for living rooms, and 16-18�C for bedrooms is the recommended ideal.

I used to have a thermometer in my bedroom but I often wonder about the temperature in my rooms - I happen to like cold temperatures indoors and most of my friends always complain about the temperature! But then I have friends who live in a constant cocoon of 30 degree warmth... This is not the postwar standard I expect. I don't think central heating is a healthy thing unless it is bitterly cold.... Also I think it's important to have open windows - especially in bedrooms. BTW, who 'recommends' the temps mentioned? some kind of medical board or what?
