Fear?

When and why was the last time you were scared? I don't mean scared like you thought you saw a spider on the carpet... I mean real fear!

Then all of a sudden my mate shouted RUN! And the boys behind us started running chasing us. I was running as fast as I could my heart in my mouth picturing them grabbing us and attacking us. I was so scared then my mate said Thats our train :-)

when my lad was about 2 years old we were in the back of a car driving down the road when it caught on fire (fire officers later said it was a petrol pipe or something that wasnt connected properly) The lad driving quickly pulled up and screamed at us to get out of car. I had my head down chatting to my lad when he screamed it and when I looked up I saw the flames coming out of the bonnet. I have never moved so fast in my life. I took off my seat belt, unfastened my lad from his car seat and had only just placed him on the floor away from the car when the fire whoosed through the entire car. I was terrified, I think I was still shaking a month later. Even now thinking about it makes my heart race and my stomach shrivel up
Also a couple of weeks ago I fell asleep on my mate in bed ;-) and as I woke up I thought two people had ran in the room and were attacking us, I screamed my head off when I actually woke up I realised my full length mirror had fallen off my wall onto us and it must have been us I could see. :-) I was that shaken though I burst into tears.
About 3 Saturdays ago I was at home alone with my 7 year old grandson, it was about 10pm and we were in the front room and the front door opened and someone went upstairs, so i said to my grandson, 'Oh your Daddy's back'.
Then after a few seconds someone came downstairs and went straight out of the front door, i shouted my Son's name and went through to the door, looked out and there was no one about. I went out and ran up to the top of the road and looked and noone was about apart from a tall lad in a shall suit knocking at the door round the corner, who i didn't know.
I came back in and locked the door and rang both sons and neither of them were anywhere near the house, they both came home straight away.
It was the next night when we found out it was the drunken mate of my eldest son and he had left an Xbox game in my son's room and he walked in to get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was really upset all of Sunday and even when I found out who it was it still bothered me and so i make sure the door is locked now.

I have 2, and they both happened a few years ago:
I was in Israel and there was a bombing a few blocks away. I was in a high rise hotel, and the entire building shook. Most terrifying.
Also the night of 9/11... being on call for emergency medical services that night to help retrieve injured people from the world trade center. That whole situation was so scary that I was completely nauseous from fear.
