Hard Contact Lenses
3 Answers
I have to wear reading glasses as well as my contacts if I need to read small print these days - its an age thing! My optician offered me the option of giving me a left eye reading lens and a right eye long-distance lens to correct this problem - as opposed to my usual left and right long-distance lenses. He said it would seem funny for a day or two but I would get used to it. Well I haven't and I can't see straight when looking in front, although it is good for reading - has anyone else tried this technique?

I'm like you empressali - I use the cheap readers from the market stalls at 2 a piece - they're brilliant, but was hoping that the contact lens situation would be succsssful as I'm sick of having to dig them out of my bag in supermarkets and restaurants etc. etc. I went back to my 'old' lenses after three days of looking at life as if through a toilet window !! Lol - Thankfully he gave me the new reader lens on a trial so I don't have to pay for it. Bi-focal lenses may be the way forward but I'll have to save up for these. Thanks again. Doll xx
