overactive thyroid

i have recently been to the doctors about low blood pressure and few other symtoms and he may think i have an over active thyroid although ive got to go and have blood tests . is this serious ??

Don't worry, many ABers have one or other of the conditions and they will say the same I guess,

They are both easily controlled by medication depending on the levels.The blood test will tell how low or high your thyroid function is. Don't worry ....lots of people suffer with this .I have an underactive thyroid and am on medication to keep it under control .My Mum had the same and my sister had overactive .Do not be alarmed !
The medication just replaces the hormone that your body is not producing.
If it is borderline they are loathe to prescribe as the meds can make you hyper and vice versa.
Take the advice of your GP ...who is the best person to sort it out for you. Good luck.
