I would appreciate it if any women using this contraceptive would be willing to share their experience of side-effects, in particular any skin problems. I really need to go on a POP rather than a combined, but I took a POP in the past which gave me severe acne. Any advice appreciated. Alison.

now that would be perfect - best advice i can offer is to go to the family planning clinic and speaking to them as they can come up with different alternatives that will work for you

I guess everyone responds differently to different things, so I wont really know until I try. Im just away to start uni though, so I dont want to be suddenly troubled with acne. I am nervous enough as it is :(

You read my previous post regarding Cerazette. I just wanted to add that I too am prone to skin problems and some pills have aggravated this. My skin has been trouble free whilst taking Cerazette and I can honestly say that I feel no adverse effects from this pill. In fact, I am also prone to breast tenderness which has virtually disappeared since taking Cerazette. You are right in saying that people react differently to contraceptives so you are sensible in doing a bit of research. However, I would say 'go for it'. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
