Patchy Legs

I've got back off holiday a few weeks ago and had a beautiful all over tan. I decided to go on the sunbed yesterday to top it up a bit, but it's made my legs look a bit patchy. This only ever happens on the sunbed and not in the sun. Why is this?

Did you have anything on your legs - moisturiser, recently Immac-ed or waxed them or anything? Maybe it's just that some bits of your body are easier to tan that others, and the different in strength between the sun-tan and the UV-tan has made it different shades of brown? Stick to one or the other (sun or sunbed) and I think you'd be fine.
