. According to Thomas Laqueur, Columbus, AKA Matteo Realdo Colombo, was a lecturer in surgery at the University of Padua, Italy. (Whether he was related to Christopher Columbus I don't know.) In 1559 he published a book called De re anatomica in which he described the "seat of woman's delight." He concluded, "since no one has discerned these projections and their workings, if it is permissible to give names to things discovered by me, it should be called the love or sweetness of Venus."

could well have discovered one of your ancestors bits, judging by the name, and then named bits of ladies anatomy after themselves.....COOL!

... suggests women may have spotted it a bit earlier than that. Still, it's true size was discovered only in the last 10 years or so.
So its not in her ear then!! Thats the last time I stick my tongue in there!!
can't believe I left that rogue apostrophe in my last post; my apologies to Lynne Truss
well columbus discovered america and thats full of cnuts...
What a joke! Men don't discover these things - women 'discover' them because they HAVE them! Like the 'G spot' is named after a man who claims to have discovered that! Pure farce. Male scientists still debate the vaginal/clitoral orgasm - well is you want to know the answer, try asking a woman... fools.
