my best mate was stood up last night....now i said to her to tell him to get stuffed when he rings next.do you think he shud have another chance?it was only the second date and hes a bit of a git anyway.what do you think??

thats what i said to her...he called early that night and said to ring him when she was ready and then turned off his phone!!! cheeky git,im sure he hasnt got a good excuse for it!

Sounds to me as if the green-eyed monster is rearing its ugly head here. How do you know he is a bit of a git? Did you join them on their first and only date?

You have no doubt made your friend aware of your opinion, now mind your own business and let her get on with her life, and you find one of your own.

thats so rude wildwood! i have my own boyfriend thanks.we are best mates who tell eachother everything,this guys been around for a few years but its only now that she been attempting to date him....so for you r info thats how i know hes a git,maybe i shud have put more info.

Maybe his battery died?

In the age of always-on 'broadband' technology we do seem to forget that there was a time when you couldn't ALWAYS be contacted. I've gone into cinemas and forgotten to turn my phone back on for days until someone catches me in on the landline worried that the big bad wolf had eaten me up!!

And I've had my landline cut off by accident whilst waiting for a phone call from someone special!

I'd see what he had to say for himself first. If it sounds plausible I'd probably give him another chance and tell myself that I was being paranoid. If he's rude and not understanding of the narkiness at being stood up I'd agree on the git part! Btw, if he's such a git why is she dating him?

No I think this was the right category - he is obviously an animal and it is in their nature to be unreliable.

Tell her to get a life and not sit about waiting for gits like this.
